Thanksgiving

We hope everyone had a GREAT Turkey Day, we sure did.  We stayed home and cooked and enjoyed our family.  It was fun.  Kayden had a WONDERFUL time with Aunt Donna, she is just a big kid herself!  It was a lot of fun to see them giggle together and play together.  I thought for sure Kayden would sleep in until 7 today from all the running around with Aunt Donna, but nope, he was up at 5:45!  Oh, well.

We were suppose to eat dinner at 3, but it was a little delayed because the turkey wasn't done cooking.  Ooops...No one minded waiting for the turkey though, no one was interested in eating a raw one, so we gave it about another 45 minutes and then enjoyed it when it was cooked through.

We all enjoyed having each other around for the Thanksgiving Dinner.  It is great to have such a wonderful family.

Here are some pictures of our Turkey Day!  Hope everyone enjoyed theirs.

First Dentist Appointment

Kayden had his first dentist appointment today and it went well.  Kayden wasn't so sure about it though.  We got there and the hygienist brought us back to the room and Kayden was super nervous, he didn't want anything to do with the hygienist.  We sat in the chair and he kept moving his head in the opposite direction of the hygienist.  I was a bit nervous the Dr wouldn't be able to get a looksie at his teeth either.

Luckily though, once the Dr came in, Kayden was shy for a minute then warmed up and let him look at his
little teeth.  They all look healthy and the way they should.  So, I am thankful for that.  He is getting one of his upper 2 year molars, which I knew, but the other, and final one, should be in shortly.  I will be happy when teething is over.

Once our 3 minute appointment was over Kayden got a toothbrush and got to pick out a toy from the toy box!  He got a glow stick, and couldn't wait to open it.  Too cute.

I hope Kayden gets comfortable with the dentist and doesn't dread going, like Kyle and I do.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

More Soccer Pics

Kayden had soccer practice yesterday and it was a lot of fun to watch.  He has so much fun, I just love watching him.

The last thing they do is kick the ball into the goal and afterwards they are suppose to give the coach a high-five, well, Kayden forgot this step and left the coach hanging so Kayden had to run back and give him a high-five.  It was cute.  The coach is really good with the kids, he understands that they are 2 and 3 years old and get a little distracted most of the time.

When practice was over we asked Kayden if he had a good time and he yelled, "YEAH!".  Too cute.

Kayden's First Soccer Practice

Kayden had his first soccer practice yesterday at the Community Center and it was a lot of fun.  It is a Parent/Tot program, so Kyle participated with him.  It was so cute watching Kayden do all the little drills.  It was a lot more structured than I thought it would be.

Here are some pictures of Kyle and Kayden having fun.

Kayden Helping with Honey Do List

Tonight Kyle was doing a few things around the house and Kayden thought he'd help.  So, we opened one of the tool sets he got for his Birthday and he helped dad.

Pumpkin Carving - A little late at posting, sorry.

Sunday night we went over to Jim and Cindy's house for some pumpkin carving activities and we had fun.  Again, Kayden didn't really get into it, although I think he did grab a spoon and attempt at pulling guts out, but that was really about it.  He somehow got a little pumpkin guts on his pointer finger and he didn't enjoy that too much.  Here are the pictures from our fun time.

Kayden wanted to color the patterns, instead of use them for the pumpkins.

They he is with the spoon.

This is where he had pumpkin guts on his finger
