Seattle Aquarium Movie Night

Kyle and I recently became members of the Seattle Aquarium.

Every so often the aquarium has member only events and last night was one of those night. They hosted a movie night. They closed the aquarium, opened it up to members only, offered popcorn, gummy candy, soda, juice boxes and water. The doors opened at 7 and the movie started at 7:30. Since we were one of the first people there we scored front row seats, then wondered off to see the aquarium.

Kayden loved being able to run around and see all the different tanks while there were very few people there.

Once the movie started Kayden sat in his seat and watched the movie very attentively! Towards the end he preferred my lap, but overall, he did really well.

I had a lot of fun and look forward to another one!

Drivers License

Last Friday Kayden and I met a friend and her kids at the Federal Way Community Center for their open play. It's basically a gymnasium full of toys, bounce houses, coloring tables and building blocks. The kids can run around and play while the parents have a seat and enjoy complimentary coffee.

Well, in addition to having all these toys they also have, what I call, Flintstone cars. The red and yellow ones that you sit in and use your feet to move about. Kayden has ALWAYS loved them and is rather possessive of them. If the cars are taken when we get there he stalks the drivers (there are two cars) until one of them gets out. Then he spends the rest of the remaining two hours driving around!

I guess it's the closest thing to real driving when you're three!

How Cute is This Guy?

Kayden has been A-ok with me taking his picture lately, and I have been loving it.

He's in the, "I don't know how to smile on command" phase and gets this oh-too-cute grin on his face when he tries to smile when told. I just love it!
