We woke up today to some more snow. Not a ton more, but a new, light, covering, it looked so pretty. So, I suited Kayden and myself up and went out to play. We invited Charlie and Christy out to play too. It was fun. Since it wasn't snowing this time I was able to take my dslr camera out, instead of our point and shoot and was able to get some good shots.
We are having so much fun with the snow and they are predicting more tonight! Lets hope it is enough to keep Kyle home tomorrow.
I usually dislike the snow, I don't like how cold it is, hate how the world shuts down, at least here in Seattle, and I dislike being cooped up in the house, but since having Kayden and having the luxury of staying home with him, I don't seem to mind it as much. I love seeing how much fun he has when he is out there playing in it and I love seeing how pretty everything looks with snow on top of it. Being able to stay home and enjoy the snow is so nice.
Ok, so here is the real reason you stopped by, right?
Kayden and Charlie had fun eating the snow. All they were missing was the flavored syrups!

Snow!
We all woke up yesterday morning to some snow on the ground! After breakfast we decided to go outside and play in it with Charlie. Charlie couldn't wait to get out there and was the first one to get their hands in it.
Kayden really liked the snow and he did really well walking with his snow boots and snow gear on. He wasn't happy about having to get it all on, but we forced it on him and once he got outside, he was fine.
Uncle Dean and Daddy pulled Charlie and Kayden in a sled and there was a snowball fight too. The kids even played on the snow covered swing set. It was fun.
Now on to the pictures...
As you can see in the pictures we didn't have much snow, but it doesn't take a lot for kids (and adults too) to have fun in it. We all really enjoyed ourselves and had fun. The weather folks are predicting more snow today and tonight, as well as tomorrow night, so we'll see how the rest of the week plays out. Should be a lot of fun.

Mommy & Me Craft Class
The Ben Franklin in Bonney Lake started this new class called Mommy and Me Craft Class and it is intended for pre-school kids and younger to go and enjoy some crafting time with Mommy. So, I took Kayden today with my mom, sister and niece, Ashlie and we all had a lot of fun.
The craft was so fun and totally do-able for young kids. Kayden did almost the whole things himself. He needed help with the hand print and applying the glue to the buttons, but everything else he did himself. He is becoming so independent and grown!
Take a look at his project.

Guess What Kayden Did Today!
I am so excited for Kayden.
This morning we were eating breakfast at the table and he decided to undressed himself. This is a rather new thing, he likes to get totally naked and run around the house. Ok, no big deal. So, this morning when he got naked I figured I would just deal with it when we finished breakfast. Well, before we got done he got down from his chair and ran over to grab his diaper (it was clean, he hadn't used it yet!). I looked at him and asked if he needed to go potty. He said yes and I asked if he wanted to go in the big boy potty and he said yes. So we ran into the bathroom and I put him on his little potty. He sat there and instructed me to go potty too. So, I did and then he did! He peed in the potty. I was so excited for him and he was too. I'm so happy to be entering this new phase with him. I have been intimidated to start potty training, but I think he is telling me loud and clear that he is ready. So, I guess we have started a new chapter. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me.

New Years
Hi there. We hope everyone enjoyed their New Years, we sure did. We were invited over to our friends house, it was a lot of fun. It was low key and mellow. They got a new golden lab puppy for Christmas, and he is so cute! Kayden wasn't so sure about him though, which is fine, maybe this way he won't be asking Santa to bring him a dog anytime soon!
Our friends, Heather and Tommy, have two kids, their daughter is 4 and their son is 19 months and they were a lot of fun. Heather and Tommy made cake pops for all of kids and kids at heart to decorate. Kayden wasn't much for the decorating, but he sure enjoyed eating it.
Well, here are the pictures from last night.
This weekend we had some nice weather, and not just nice as in not raining, but it was a little warm out too. Now, don't think I"m talking about 70+ degree weather, because this is Seattle after all, but it was warm enough to go outside with a sweatshirt on and not be cold, which is rare around here.
And because we had such nice weather, Kyle decided to take down the Christmas lights and Kayden and I decided to go out there and help him. Kayden had fun being outside. He really enjoys being out there and sometimes I think he gets cranky because he is cooped up in the house all day. We are both really looking forward to spring.
Anyway, here are the pictures from today. I hope you enjoy them.
