Playing Outside

This past week we have had some nice days and some not so nice days.  I think it was Thursday when the rain didn't stop all day.  I mean down pouring rain.  Kyle went out to put the garbage cans by the curb and was soaking wet when he got inside, and it was like that all day.  Felt more like the fall than spring, but without the rain we can't enjoy the nice days.  So, thankfully the rain dried up and we were able to enjoy being outside.

I don't remember which days we were able to play outside, but there were two days when the sun made an appearance and we were able to get outside to burn off some energy!  Kayden is so much happier when we can play outside and so is Mama!

Kayden of course is not at all into getting his picture taken!  I pull the camera out and he covers his face and screams, "No picture, no picture!"  I am hopeful that between playing in the sandbox and playing on the swing set that he forgets about the camera and I'm able to capture some great shots of him.  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!

He got mad here because he caught me sneaking a picture!

Here he is trying to cover his face, all the while yelling, "No picture, no picture."

If I can't see you, you can't see me!

Kayden loves bubbles, and he can't get enough of them sometimes.  He wanted to go to Nini and Papa's to feed the squirrels, but got distracted with the bubbles instead.

Papa and Kayden eating the peanuts that were intended for the squirrels.  LOL

An Hour at the Beach

We have had such nice weather around here this weekend and it is suppose to stick around for the next day or two and I'm super excited! I love the spring sunshine, not too hot, not too cold, makes for one happy mama! And because the weather is so nice we decided to take Charlie and Kayden to the beach for a little photo op, however, it didn't go as planned. Kayden isn't in love with the camera, so he pretty much ignored me the whole time.  I was able to get a few good pics of him, but not as many as I hoped. My goal was to get pictures of Kayden and Charlie together, but no such luck.  Maybe some other time.

Kayden got a little wet. :)

This is where he was telling me, "Stop! No picture, no picture"

Easter

We hope everyone had a great Easter, we sure did.  We had awesome weather, 70 degrees, and awesome friends and family over to celebrate!

We started off celebrating Easter by dying Easter eggs on Saturday over at Cindy and Jim's house with Charlie and Christy.  Kayden had a lot of fun doing it.  He started off by putting an egg in each dye color and once those were full he would add another egg to the cup, eventually he got tired of waiting for the eggs to change color and he would just transfer the eggs from one color to the next.  It was really cute.

Here are a couple of the cups with too many eggs in them.  This is where Kayden would just keep stacking them on top of each other.

On Easter Sunday we had lunch at our house and then had the egg hunt afterwards.  It was a full house, my parents came over, my sister and her family, my niece, Christy, Dean, Charlie, Cindy, Jim, Aunt Donna, Marilyn, Ray and their two grandsons, and then of course us.  So, it was a pretty full house, but we all enjoyed ourselves.  The weather was awesome, 70 degrees, so we mostly hung out outside and enjoyed the sun.  The kids had a blast looking for eggs and we think there might still be a few out there, a little treat for the landscaper!  LOL.  Here are some pictures of our Easter.  Hope everyone enjoyed their day as much as we did.

Easter Bunny brought Kayden a bubble gun.  He loved it. We went outside to play with it before the party began.
