Fun Outside

Yesterday (Tuesday) I had Charlie for the day and since her and Kayden seemed to have some stored up energy I figured it would be a good idea to let them run around outside.  We played in the sandbox, and jumped on the trampoline.  Charlie rode her bike, we all played with the bubble gun and Kayden swept the front porch, raked the lawn, visited a neighbor or two, we had a great time.

Charlie was funny, we were playing in the sandbox and I had my camera out taking pictures of her and Kayden, when Charlie said, "I'm a star on the blog", it just made me laugh.  It wasn't long after that that she declared she was done with the photo shoot!  So here are a couple of the pictures I was able to take of her before she went on strike.

Changes!

Well, as you can see, I made a few changes to the site and I am wondering what you guys think of it?  Do you like it?  The color ok?  Should I change the font, etc, so please let me know what your thoughts are! 

I need to update the site with pictures from yesterday, so look for those soon.  I am hoping to update tonight.

Ellie's First Birthday

Today we were lucky enough to attend a friend of ours daughter's first birthday party (here is the link to the birthday card I made her).  The party was held at a very nice park, it had a water playground, a huge sandbox and a playground with lots of different toys.  Kayden loved the teeter totter and swings, he had a great time playing on the playground and in the sand box.  It took him awhile to get into the water, he just wanted to observe everyone else first.  He's cautious that way.

I just wish the park was a little close to our house so we could go again, unfortunately, it is well over an hour away, so I'm not sure we'll be going there again soon.  :(

Well, onto the pictures.  They really turned out cute.

A Little Bit of Everything

Kayden and I met Charlie and Cindy outside today to play.  We had a nice time and the kids did a little bit of everything.  They started on the trampoline, then moved to the sprinkler, although, they didn't really get in the sprinkler until after the bubbles.  Kayden was a bit cranky today and wasn't too interested in getting wet.  So, we played with bubbles instead.  He eventually followed Charlie into the sprinkler, but it took some convincing. 

He never really did cheer up, he has been pretty cranky most of the day.  I think the little guy is teething.  Only two more molars to go and he has all his teeth up to this point.  Thank goodness.

And as you can see with the pictures, we had more than one meltdown.

The trampoline is right by our bamboo, so we get a lot of leaves on there.  Most of the time, before we jump, we have to get the blower out and get the leaves off.

This one was because I took the blower away.

Kayden HAD to put the sunscreen on himself.  Let's just say that never goes well.

I didn't get the other couple of meltdowns on camera, but this was his final one before we went inside.  I don't even remember what the cause of it was. 

Bubbles

The Easter Bunny brought Kayden a bubble gun in his basket this year and since we needed something to do today I thought we'd take it out and see what it was made of.  Kayden just loved it, and I was amazed at how many bubbles it actually produced!  Good job Easter Bunny.

Once Kayden was done with the Bubble Gun he decided it was time to play in the sand box.  He is really getting into it, playing with trucks and making "truck noises".  Scooping the sand into buckets, holding the sand up in the air and watching it fall, he has so much fun with it.

And that is the fun we had today outside.  It was such a nice day and we enjoyed being outside.

Warm Weather

On Sunday we had one of the hottest days of the year around here, I think it got up to 85 degrees or something like that, so to cool off we decided to play in the pool.  Here are some fun pictures of Kayden and Charlie having fun in the water.
