Halloween Crafts

As an adult I never really understood or liked Halloween until I had Kayden, now I get how exciting the holiday can be and how fun it really is.  And since it is close to October I thought it would be fun to have the kids (Charlie & Kayden) do some fun Halloween crafts.  Here they are working on them.  Too cute.

Playing Outside

It really felt like Fall today, we had almost every kind of weather, heavy wind, downpour rain, sunshine, luckily though, we didn't have any snow!  But once the weather cleared up and the sun came out the three of us decided to head outside.  Kayden helped Kyle blow all the leaves out of the driveway, and then we played on the swings and then Charlie came out and played with us and towed Kayden around in her wagon.  It was a fun, relaxing afternoon outside.

Here are the pictures from our fun afternoon.

Helping Dad blow the leaves out of the driveway.

He was showing me the piece of bark he found.

Notice the tongue sticking out?

I'll never grow tired of seeing those blue eyes.

Again, the tongue!

Charlie let Kayden borrow her sunglasses, whatcha guys think, pretty stylish?

Kayden's 2nd Birthday Pictures

Yesterday we got Kayden's second birthday pictures taken, as well as, a family picture and I have to admit, they didn't turn out that well and not because the studio we went to wasn't prepared or experienced, but because Kayden wanted nothing to do with having his pictures taken.  I think I have ruined him!

We took Kayden's new tricycle with us in hopes of getting a few pictures of him on it, but nope, that didn't work too well, it wasn't until we pulled out the iPhone that Kayden became happy.

It was a tough road, but in the end we ended up with a few good pics. Here are some of them.

He was done by this point, no more pictures please.

Playing outside the first day of fall

Yesterday was the first day of fall and the weather around here was nice, it was sunny, but comfortable, which was nice.  Kayden was getting cranky from being inside lately so we went outside to play a bit before dinner.

Kayden is 2!

Today is Kayden's real birthday and I can't help but to be sad.  I know, it is strange, but I just hate how fast he is growing up, I mean, two already, where did the last year and 11 months go???  It is hard for me to realize it really has been two years, it is just so crazy.

Don't get me wrong, I have loved watching him grow and develop and learn and I am so excited to continue watching him hit each milestone, but deep down, I am saddened to know that he is no longer a baby, but now a toddler!

I was pretty lame today and never really got around to taking many pictures of him and I'm a bit upset about it, but what can I do about it now?  Nothing, so I was able to snap a few pictures of him in his bath tonight, so I'll share those.

We had a nice day today, met Kyle for lunch to start off the birthday celebrations, then tonight, after dinner we went out for ice cream with my mom, Christy, Jim, Kyle and three of Kayden's cousins (Katie, Ashlie and Charlie), it was fun, Kayden loved it and it was a nice end to Kayden's second birthday.  I really wanted to take my camera with us, but totally forgot it, like I said, I'm was lame today!

So, here are the pictures!

See how big he is getting, he looks too much like a kid now, and no longer a baby.

And in honor of his birthday I thought I'd share a few pictures of him as a newborn.  You can see his newborn post here.

And here are the pictures we took exactly one year ago today, at his first birthday dinner celebration.  Too fun.  You can check out his birthday post from last year here.
